Rent Additional Venues for Your Virtual Exhibitions

Modified on Mon, Oct 6 at 12:04 PM

ArtPlacer offers 11 venues to showcase your work. While some venues are included in your current plan, you can also rent additional venues individually as add-ons.

This gives you the flexibility to choose the perfect space for your exhibitions, no matter your subscription level.

You can check which venues are included with your plan here, and you can also check out the pricing for each venue here.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

How to Rent a Venue

  1. Go to the Virtual Galleries section.
  2. Select the venue you’d like to use for your exhibition.
  3. A pop-up will display the rental price.
  4. Click Get Gallery to confirm your purchase.

You can then immediately start building your exhibition in the rented venue.

Canceling a Rented Venue

If you no longer need a rented venue, you can cancel it at any time:

  1. Log in to your ArtPlacer account.
  2. On the top bar, click your username and then click on ACCOUNT & BILLING.
  3. In the Add-ons section, click the “X” next to the venue to cancel.

What happens with my rented venue if I cancel my ArtPlacer Subscription?

  • You will continue to have access to the rented venue until the add-on’s expiration date (your next billing date).
  • Any published exhibitions in that venue will remain live until the expiration date.
  • After expiration, exhibitions in the rented venue will be archived.
  • You can only re-rent the same venue once it has fully expired.

You may restore your Rented Venue by clicking on the RESTORE button when positioned on the Archive tab of the "My Virtual Exhibitions" Section.

Upon clicking on RESTORE, the platform will prompt you to select the Rent a Gallery option.

Renting venues allows you to experiment with different spaces, curate unique exhibitions, and tailor the viewing experience for your audience, all without being limited to just the venues included in your plan.

What Happens If I:

  • Upgrade my subscription plan:

    • If the new plan includes a venue, the add-on charge stops from the next billing cycle.
    • If not, the venue continues to be rented as an add-on.

  • Downgrade my subscription plan:

    • If the new plan does not include a venue, the venue must continue to be rented to keep using it.

  • Changing subscription frequency:

    • Monthly → Yearly: A prorated amount is charged to align the venue rental with the yearly cycle.
    • Yearly → Monthly: The venue remains rented until the original yearly billing cycle ends.
