How to Set Up Angled Walls in Your Personal Space

Modified on Mon, Oct 6 at 11:58 AM

When you’re creating a Personal Space, the first step is setting up the walls. These walls define the areas where you’ll later place your Artworks, so it’s important to configure them correctly.

Working with angled walls may seem tricky, but with the right steps, it’s easy to get perfect results.

  • Note: Don't forget to check out the Best Practices for Angled Walls in Step 2.

Step 1: Upload Your Personal Space

  1. Go to the Personal Spaces section and click NEW to upload your Personal Space.
  2. If needed, adjust the perspective or lighting to ensure the most realistic result.
  3. Click Save and Continue, then crop, rotate, or lock the aspect ratio of the picture if needed.
  4. Click Save and Continue again. This is where the process of placing the wall area begins.

Note: Currently, we only support adjusting the horizontal perspective, not the vertical one. This is why the option to adjust perspective is available (see an example below).

Step 2: Place the Wall Area

  • Click on the wall where you want to place the Artwork.
  • Drag the side handles to define the area of the wall.
  • Drag the corner handles to define the perspective.

Best Practices for Angled Walls

  • Set the full wall area
Always define the wall area to cover the entire wall, including its full dimensions. This makes the Artwork display more accurately than simply defining the artwork area alone.

  • Align the wall lines
To achieve the correct angle, match the wall lines to the real orientation of your wall.
    • When adjusting the bottom line of the wall area, make sure it follows the wall’s direction in real life.

Why This Matters?

By carefully setting up angled walls, you’ll ensure your Personal Space feels authentic to life. Correct alignment and accurate proportions mean your Artworks display seamlessly, just as they would on a real angled wall.

Step 3: Configure the Real Height

Use the Height field to set the actual height of the wall area.

  • This ensures that any Artworks you place on this wall automatically adjust to reflect real-life proportions.

Step 4: Finalize the Wall Setup

  • Once you’ve finished configuring the wall area, click DONE.
  • Then click SAVE & FINISH to confirm your setup.

Now, you can start placing your Artworks in your Personal Space.
