What Are Add-ons

Add-ons are optional extras that let you expand your ArtPlacer subscription without changing your plan. If you need a bit more capacity or want to unlock a specific feature, you can purchase an add-on that stays active alongside your current subscription. 

This article explains what add-ons are and how they work.

  • Available add-ons

There are three add-ons currently available for Artist plans:

  • Widgets add-on — Unlocks Website Integrations, so you can embed ArtPlacer directly on your site.
  • Catalog add-on — Adds +500 artworks to your inventory.
  • Personal Spaces add-on — Adds +50 Personal Spaces to your account.

  • Who can purchase add-ons

Add-ons are available exclusively for Artist plans (Standard and Plus). The specific add-ons you can purchase depend on your current plan:

  • Basic: No add-ons available. If you'd like to use one of these features, you can upgrade to Standard or Plus.
  • Standard: Widgets add-on.
  • Plus: Widgets, Catalog, and Personal Spaces add-ons.

~ Note: Business plans (Professional, Growth, and Premium) already include Widgets and higher quotas as part of the plan, so add-ons are not offered on those tiers.

  • How much do add-ons cost

  • How billing works

Add-ons are billed on the same cycle as your subscription (monthly or yearly, depending on your plan).

When you purchase an add-on:

  • You'll be charged a prorated amount at the moment of purchase, based on where you are in your billing cycle.
  • From then on, the add-on is billed together with your subscription on your regular billing date.
  • The extra quota or feature becomes active immediately after a successful payment.


  • Can I purchase the same add-on more than once

Yes,  the Catalog add-on and the Personal Spaces add-on can be purchased multiple times. Each purchase stacks on top of the previous one.


For example, if you buy the Catalog add-on twice, you'll have an extra 1,000 artworks (500 + 500) on top of your plan's base limit.


The Widgets add-on can only be purchased once, since it unlocks a feature that is either on or off.


  • How to cancel an add-on

You can cancel any add-on at any time from your Account & Billing page, in the Add-ons section.

When you cancel:

  • The add-on stays active until your next billing date.
  • After that date, the extra quota or feature returns to your base plan level.
  • You'll receive an email confirming the cancellation.

 Note: If your usage exceeds your base plan's limits after the add-on expires (for example, if you have more artworks than your plan allows), the excess content will be blocked until you either upgrade your plan or purchase the add-on again.



  • What happens to my add-ons if I change plans

Upgrading within Artist plans: Your active add-ons stay active and continue to be billed.


Downgrading to a plan that doesn't support the add-on: The add-on will be cancelled at the end of your current billing cycle. You'll receive an email letting you know.


Upgrading to a plan that already includes what the add-on provides: The add-on will be cancelled, since it's no longer needed.




  • What happens if I cancel my subscription

If you cancel your ArtPlacer subscription, any active add-ons will be cancelled automatically together with it, you don't need to cancel them separately.
