How To Navigate a Virtual Exhibition

Move Through the Exhibition

ArtPlacer’s Virtual Exhibitions are designed to feel intuitive and immersive. Here’s everything visitors need to know to navigate, explore artworks, and access extra resources.

Resources for Visitors

At the top right corner of the screen, you’ll find the exhibition’s menu. 

From here, you can:

• Browse Artworks: Open the full list of Artworks on display.
  
  
• About the exhibition: Read the exhibition description.
  
  
• About the Gallery: This option redirects you to your Online Portfolio (if it’s enabled).
  
  
• Take a screenshot: Capture a moment to save or share.
  
  

• Access brochures: Download additional resources (if available). 
  
  
• Back to Start: Instantly go back to the entrance.
  
  
• Change language: Select your preferred exhibition language.
  
  
• Quality: When viewing a Virtual Exhibition, you can adjust the visual quality according to your internet connection and device performance. The available options are:

  • Auto: Automatically adapts the visual quality to your current internet connection for an optimal experience.
    
    

  • Performance: Prioritizes faster loading and smoother navigation, ideal for slower connections or older devices.
    
    

  • Balanced: Offers a good compromise between image quality and performance, suitable for most users.
    
    

  • Best: Displays the highest image quality and resolution, ideal for powerful devices and high-speed connections.

• Enter/exit full screen: Enjoy a distraction-free view.
  
  
• Open the navigation guide: Opens a visual guide showing the navigation controls for moving around the exhibition.

Exploring the Artworks

There are two main ways to engage directly with the Artworks:

Navigating to Artworks

• Open the Artworks list in the menu and click the person icon to jump directly to a specific piece.

• Or, simply click on an Artwork in the gallery.

• To move between Artworks seamlessly, use the Prev and Next buttons at the bottom left of the screen.

Viewing Artwork Information

Click Learn More or select the Artwork from the gallery to open its info popup. From here, visitors can:

• Inquire: Contact the gallery directly about the artwork.

• Buy / View More (if available): Follow a link to the gallery’s third-party sales page.

• View in AR (if available): Use augmented reality to see how the artwork looks in your own space with your device’s camera.
