Manually adding a contact to ArtPlacer’s Contacts List allows you to keep track of leads, collectors, and gallery connections efficiently. Follow these simple steps to create a new contact and organize your network.

Step 1: Access the Contacts Section
- Navigate to the Contacts section.
- If this is your first time accessing it, you'll see an empty state with options to add contacts.
Step 2: Click on “Create a Contact”
Step 3: Fill in Contact Details
You will now enter essential information about your contact:
✔ First Name & Last Name (Required) – Enter the contact’s full name.
✔ Email (Required) – Input the contact’s email address for future communications.
✔ Organization (Optional) – Add a business or gallery name if applicable.
✔ Country (Optional) – Select the contact’s location.
✔ Lead Status – Choose from default options:
- Customer
- Prospect
- Gallery
- Collector
- Artist
✔ Tags - Create or assign tags to categorize your contacts (e.g., “VIP Collector,” “Event Lead”).
✔ Address
✔ Phone
✔ Address
✔ Website
Step 4: Add Additional Information (Optional)
- Bio/Notes Section – Use this space to jot down important details, such as follow-up reminders or specific interests.
Example: “Met at Art Expo, interested in contemporary pieces”.
Step 5: Save the Contact
- Once all details are filled in, click the “Save Changes” button.
- Your new contact will now appear in the Contacts List.
Step 6: Engage with Your Contact
After adding a contact, you can:
✔ Send an Email, Presentation, or Design directly (learn more here).
NOTE: Replies to emails sent from ArtPlacer should reach the address set as the contact email within your Online Portfolio contact info settings. Otherwise, they should reach the email set on your Profile settings (same email used to log into your ArtPlacer Account). You are supposed to carry on with the conversation within your email client provider (Gmail, Outlook, iMail, etc.)
✔ Apply filters and tags for easy searchability.
✔ Edit or update the contact details anytime (learn more here)
By manually adding contacts, you ensure that every valuable connection is recorded and easily accessible, helping you build lasting relationships and increase sales.
To access the details view, simply click on the magnifying glass icon on the right side of your screen.
