Keeping your contact list up to date is essential for managing relationships and tracking interactions effectively. ArtPlacer’s Contacts List allows you to edit and update saved contacts with ease. Follow this step-by-step guide to modify an existing contact’s details.


Step 1: Access the Contacts List


  1. Navigate to the Contacts section from the top menu.
  2. Use the search bar or filters to locate the contact you wish to edit.



Step 2: Open the Edit Contact Panel


  1. Find the contact in your list and click on the pencil icon ✏️ next to the date that was created.
  2. This will open the Edit Contact panel, where you can modify any saved information.



Step 3: Update Contact Details


In the edit panel, you can make changes to the following fields:

First Name & Last Name – Correct spelling errors or update name details.

Email Address – Modify or replace the contact’s email if needed.

Organization – Add or update the contact’s gallery or business affiliation.

Country – Change or add location details.

Lead Status – Adjust the contact’s category based on their interactions:

  • Customer (Completed a purchase)
  • Prospect (Potential buyer)
  • Gallery (Professional connection)
  • Other (Any additional category)
    Tags – Add, edit, or remove custom tags to categorize contacts for better organization.


Step 4: Add or Modify Additional Information


  • Bio/Notes Section – Update follow-up details or add new insights about the contact.
    Example: “Followed up on March 10, interested in abstract art.” – Adjust any extra background details for better personalization.



Step 5: Save Changes


  1. After updating the necessary fields, click the “Save Changes” button to confirm your changes.
  2. The updated contact details will now be reflected in your Contacts List.


Regularly updating your contacts ensures that you have the most relevant and accurate information, helping you maintain strong relationships and boost your art sales.
