You can edit frames to modify their width, material, texture, and more.
While working in a Room Mock-Up, Personal Space, or Art Show Planner, you can edit a frame after placing your Artwork in the space.
How To Edit a Frame
- Add an Artwork to a Room Mockup, Personal Space, or Art Show Planner and click on it.
- At the bottom of the screen, select Frames.
- Hover over the frame you want to edit and click the pencil icon. This opens the Frame Builder, where you can adjust your frame’s appearance.

- On the Frame Builder page, make your desired changes using the available customization options.
When finished, click Save to update and overwrite the existing frame, or Save as new to create a new version.
⚠️ Note: If you choose Save as new, we recommend assigning a unique name to your frame so you can easily locate it later.

Frame Editing Options
Within the Frame Builder, you can adjust the following features:
- Frame Width: Use the selector to adjust the width of the frame.
- Material: Choose a material from the dropdown. Depending on your selection, additional textures and color options become available.
- Floating Frame: Toggle this on or off to add or remove a floating effect. If enabled, use the selector to adjust the width of the gap.
- Mat: Toggle this on or off to add or remove a mat. When enabled, configure the width, type, and color of the mat.
- Name: Edit the name of your frame by typing in the text box.
- Glass Reflection: Toggle this on or off to add or remove a glass reflection effect for a more realistic look.
⚠️ Important: Frame editing is limited to the customization options available within the Frame Builder. It is not possible to upload or add new frame styles beyond those provided in ArtPlacer.
