[For desktop users:]

To curate a virtual exhibition, you must use the artworks you upload to ArtPlacer. While navigating the exhibition, guests can see the artworks and access their information

To add an artwork while curating a virtual exhibition:

  1. Navigate the gallery and locate a wall slot or a pedestal to showcase your artwork. Pedestals are ideal for sculptures, while wall slots are best suited for 2D artwork.

  2. Click on the slot from the gallery or locate it by number on the side panel.

  3. Click Add Artwork on the side panel.

  4. Select an artwork. You can find artworks by name using the search bar or filter them by collection.

  5. Click APPLY.

Alternatively, click SELECT ARTWORKS on the side panel and select an artwork. The artwork will be added to the first available slot.

Once you add an artwork to the exhibition, and depending on the artwork’s type, you can perform additional configurations on the panel of each artwork.

For 2D artwork, you can:

  • Choose a frame: To add a frame, click CHOOSE A FRAME. On the popup, scroll down or type on the search bar to find the frame you want to apply, select the frame, and click SET. Optionally, check Apply frame to all artworks on the panel if you want all artworks to display the same frame.

  • Make the background transparent: Enable Transparent Background to eliminate the shadows behind irregular or 3D art pieces, or to place the artwork flat against the wall.
You can configure this by checking the Transparency box in the Basic Info section of the artwork.

  • Configure the position: Use the sliders to move the artwork horizontally and vertically on the wall. Click the reset icon to reset the position.

For sculptures:

  • Set the size: Enter the height, width, and depth of your sculpture. You can choose to use inches or centimeters as the unit of measurement.

  • Customize the pedestal: Change the color of the pedestal either using the visual color-picker or by entering the RGB color values into the text fields.

  • Move the pedestal. Use the sliders to move the pedestal across the X and Y axis.

You can manage the artworks that you already added to the exhibition from the side panel.

  • Move an artwork to a different slot: Click and drag the slot up or down to the desired position.

  • Hide unused slots from the gallery: To hide a single slot, hover over the slot and click the hide icon. To hide all unused slots, click Hide unused slots.

  • Navigate automatically to a slot in the gallery: Hover over a slot in the side panel and click the person icon.

  • Remove an artwork: Hover over a slot in the side panel and click the delete icon.
