Import Catalog From other Platforms Using a CSV File

This is recommended for large inventories hosted in a storage cloud or online website.

Here you'll find a valid CSV spreadsheet template. Feel free to make a copy from it for your own use. Once you are finished filling out the information, you could download it as a .csv file and use that very same file to import your catalog to ArtPlacer by heading to the Artworks section and following the steps listed below:

  1. Click Browse and select the CSV file from your computer files.

  2. Click NEXT.

  3. The system matches the labels in your file to fields in ArtPlacer to add the data in the columns to the artwork. If there is incorrect matching, and you want to match a piece of data to another field, click a column header and select the correct field. If the file includes data that you want to exclude from the export, select No Mapping.

  4. Click FINALIZE IMPORT. ArtPlacer then indicates the number of artworks that are being imported. Click SUBMIT to confirm.

ArtPlacer then processes the import and sends you a confirmation email once it is successfully completed. You can edit the artworks after they are uploaded to add more information or modify the imported data.
