Import CSV File

If you have an inventory of your art pieces (such as a brochure) saved in CSV format, you can upload it to ArtPlacer, and the system automatically maps the information in the file to the fields in our system.

For the file to be correctly uploaded to ArtPlacer, the first row in the file must contain ArtPlacer’s field names and the data must start at the first column. Visit this article to learn about the available fields in artworks.

To upload artworks via CSV file:

  1. Click Browse and select the CSV file from your computer files.

  2. Click NEXT.

  3. The system matches the labels in your file to fields in ArtPlacer to add the data in the columns to the artwork. If there is incorrect matching and you want to match a piece of data to another field, click a column header and select the correct field. If the file includes data that you want to exclude from the export, select No Mapping.

  4. Click FINALIZE IMPORT. ArtPlacer then indicates the number of artworks that are being imported. Click SUBMIT to confirm.

ArtPlacer then processes the import and sends you a confirmation email once it is successfully completed. You can edit the artworks after they are uploaded to add more information or modify the imported data.
